Chickfila

I joined Chickfila because I wanted to be professionally trained on how to serve and care.

I wanted to learn and develop a mastery of second-mile service no matter the circumstance.

I joined because I believe in the mission statement of Chickfila.

To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A

The Team Leader

As a Team Leader at Chick-il-a I was responsible for leading and directing Team Members and strove to build trust among us so that we functioned effectively as a team. I fully believe that we can only serve and care for the guests well by first serving and caring for each other. I strive to operate with a level of customer excellence in every interaction to ensure that each customer receives the genuine and quality interaction that they expect from Chick-fil-A because I truly do love to care for the guests and seek to put a smile on every face that I can. I assisted in the day-to-day operation of the store and oversaw that the preparation and presentation of food was always up to the standard that Chick-fil-A holds. I had the pleasure of training and coaching new Team Members so that they learned the standard operating procedures and I sought to impart with them the ‘why’ of how we do things so that I was not building blind obedience, but rather engaged commitment.

The Catering

On Auburn Football Gamedays I serve as the Head of Catering for the front of house. What this means is that I serve as the point man between guests seeking to pick up their catering orders and the back of house who is busy at work preparing them. To follow up over the phone with guests running late or seeking to place a catering order over the phone. I have learned how to ease the stress and panicked frenzy of guests when they are late or if our kitchen is running behind. To engage with the guests as we figure out how to best resolve any miscommunication that may have taken place in their ordering and our preparing of their catering. I have had the pleasure of delivering catering to tailgates, different AU Facilities, as well as the Jordan Hare Stadium press box and the Auburn Football Recruitment lounge. On especially busy game days I have worn two hats and bounced between front and back of house, becoming an extra pair of hands to help prepare catering orders be ready by their promised time when needed and manning the front counter.

The Cow

Perhaps my favorite part of my time at Chick fila has been spent at events and functions, putting smiles on faces of children and adults alike by wearing the cow costume and serving as the Chickfila Mascot. I have attended functions, fundraisers, baseball games, and parades. I have collaborated with the Auburn University mascot Aubie multiple times, be it by shaking hands with people alongside one another, having a dance off against another, or utterly destroying other mascots by dancing together in a dance off. My favorite fundraiser I have worked at was the Cops on Top fundraisers in which I greeted people as they shopped at Kroger and made donations for police funding as police offers vibed on the roof and other officers danced alongside me on the sidewalk below.
